Translational Research in Drug Development
Finding and developing new medications is a costly endeavour with high attrition. A major part of a drug developer’s responsibilities is to rapidly identify efficacy and deleterious effects of new drugs under investigation. To this end, the use of translational strategies offer hope for investigators to expedite drug development and lower the cost of failure. This presentation is an overview of the translational tools presently available and the challenges associated with them.
