Dear PSS Members,

Wishing all our PSS members safe and healthy. Despite the difficulties of the pandemic, PSS engaged in many activities in 2022. With lifting of restrictions, we look forward to your continued participation in upcoming PSS events.

PSS Highlights for Year 2022:

  1. PSS called for the 2022 PSS Travel Awards. Travel award was awarded to Ms. Jingru Xu for attending 2022 Materials Research Society (MRS) spring meeting & exhibit in Honolulu, Hawaii.
  2. PSS awarded Professor Fred Wong, the Founding President of our society, was awarded the PSS Research Excellence Award for his prolific and outstanding contributions to the field of respiratory pharmacology research.
  3. PSS awarded Associate Professor Chay Hoon Tan was awarded the first PSS Education Excellence Award for her prolific and outstanding contributions to the field of pharmacology   education.
  4. PSS supported the 2nd International Forum for Early Career Researchers on Pharmacology of  Natural Products and Traditional Medicines held 18 June 2022 in Singapore with a call for speakers.
  5. PSS promoted the IUPHAR Early Career Researchers Online Seminar Series held Tuesday 24th May 2022 on Zoom.
  6. PSS supported the IUPHAR Pharmacology Education Project.

PSS Planned Activities in Year 2023:

  1. PSS Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on March 24, 2023 (Friday) 12:00 PM – 12:30 PM at MD4-02-03E, 5 Science Drive 2, Singapore 117545.   Lunch will be provided afterwards. Agenda attached.
  2. PSS Student Conference/Travel Scholarship 2023 will be announced.
  3. PSS supports the IUPHAR Pharmacology Education Project.
  4. PSS supports the organization of the School for the Asian Pacific Neurochemistry Society (ASPN) to be held in June 2023 in Singapore.
  5. PSS supports the organization of the 19th World Congress of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology (WCP2023) to be held on 2-7 July 2023 in Glasgow, Scotland, UK.
  6. PSS is planning a joint meeting with the Shenzhen Council of Pharmacology Research and Translation, the Southern University of Science and Technology and the City University of Hong Kong.
